The Watts 0061657 is a 3/8 IN Dual Check Valve Backflow Preventer that is part of the Watts SD-3 Series, specifically designed for carbonated beverage machines. This equipment safeguards your potable water supply from contaminated backflow, including carbon dioxide gas and carbonated water. Crafted with a stainless steel body and internal rubber components, this Watts 3/8 Dual Check Valve can effectively handle continuous or intermittent pressure applications.

Furthermore, the Watts 0061657 has an atmospheric port that provides a visual indication of failure of the second check and a wye pattern strainer. It is ideal for use on post-mix carbonated beverage equipment and dispensing equipment for tea and coffee. The device incorporates female NPT inlet with SAE male flare outlet connections. The maximum working pressure is 150 psi (10 bar).

Watts 0061657 Installation Instructions

Prior to installation, cleanse the pipelines to eliminate scale and other pollutants. The Watts 3/8 dual check valve may be set up either horizontally or vertically (with the flow ascending or descending). Place the valve in the line such that the arrow on the valve body corresponds with the direction of the flow. Connect a vent discharge line to the vent outlet and guide it towards a safe disposal area with sufficient ventilation. The installation should be carried out so that the strainer and Watts dual check valve are readily available for service and upkeep.
