The General Wire 4F Flood-Guard helps prevent basement flooding caused by sewer backups. Designed for use with 4-inch floor drains, this device uses a float mechanism that automatically seals the drain opening when water backs up through the pipe.

During normal operation, water flows freely through the drain. If wastewater begins to rise in the drain line, the internal float lifts and creates a seal that helps block water from entering the building until the pressure subsides.
