What is Limescale?

When water comes from areas that contain high calcium or magnesium carbonate, hard water leaves mineral deposits commonly known as "limescale" or "scale".

Why is Limescale Bad?

- Restricts Flow

- Slows Transfer of Heat

- Decreases Effiency

- Damages Heating Elements

- Decreases Water Pressure

- Shortens Life Span

- Requires Frequent and Costly     Maintenance

Limescale build-up can block pipes, faucet, aerators, and cause corrosion. It leaves deposits on clothes and dishes, and is a constant nuisance

for homeowners. More importantly, Limescale build-up on water heater elements reduces their overall efficiency and drives up energy bills.

Over 85% of American homes have hard water that causes limescale build-up, reducing the lifespan and efficiency of waters heaters and home appliances. Limescale build-up can block pipes faucet aerators and cause corrosion. In addition, it’s unsightly, leaves deposits on clothes and dishes, and is a constant nuisance for homeowners. More significantly, limescale build-up on water heater elements reduces their overall efficiency and drives up energy bills. ScaleRx uses a patented Turbulent Galvanic Polarization (TGP) system to disrupt the formation of limescale crystals. Independent testing shows ScaleRx reduces scale accumulation by 76%. In side-by-side comparison testing, it was four times more effective than the leading electronic scale reduction device.

Frequently Asked Questions??

Where Can ScaleRX Be Used?

ScaleRX can be used on any residential water heater. ScaleRx Home can be used on the main water line to your home. ScaleRx replaces just under 12 in. of pipe, so you will want to leave enough space to work around any pipe fittings or obstacles.

How Long Does ScaleRX Last?

ScaleRx contains no filters and is maintenance-free. The body is made of 304 stainless steel, and testing has shown that ScaleRx remains effective after 12 years of constant use.

Can I Install ScaleRX Outside?

Certainly! The outside components are made of durable stainless steel and made to survive harsh environments. ScaleRx Home comes with optional SharkBite™ fittings which are not rated for outdoor use.

What Type of Pipe Do I Need To Use?

ScaleRx is compatible with hard copper (types L, K and M), PEX, HDPE, PE-RT, CPVC, or and PVC pipe. Brass or plastic adapters may be used to connect.

Why Doesn't ScaleRX Need An External Power Source?

ScaleRx contains patented TGP® turbines that create both turbulence and a small galvanic current. These features combine to prevent the formation of calcite crystals.

How Much Flow Restriction Is There?

Less than 1 GPM pressure drop. ScaleRx doesn’t reduce household water pressure.
