The 8" Febco LF860 Reduced Pressure Zone (RPZ) backflow preventer was introduced in 2013 and is still currently produced. The LF860 replaced the 860 and was introduced to comply with The lead free laws of 2014. Repair parts are diferent between the 860 and LF860. Known as Febcos "Master Series", the LF860 feature a swing check design with bottom mounted relief valve. The body is constructed of epoxy coated ductile iron. Modular style relief valve. Springs are self contained when covers are removed. No special tools are required for servicing.
